In Tucson, a bingo-playing grandma was to sentenced to three years in prison, as well as being fined $150,000. Leticia Villareal-Garcia was convicted of transporting marijuana for sale. Apparently she was pulled over, and her vehicle contained more than 200 pounds of marijuana. The prosecutor claimed she was doing it to pay for a bingo habit, the defense claimed that the drugs belonged to her grandkid’s godfather.
Of course, this story is making national news. I just wonder what everyone else thinks of Arizona, and all the weird news that we’ve had here recently. If this trend of crazy news continues, then CNN should move their national HQ to the Valley.
