A post I almost wrote

Many people, including myself, do blogging for pay. I have a simple expectation that advertisers will be upfront and honest with me about their product, and in return, I will do the best job I can when writing about their product.
I almost started writing about a health related service, but for some reason, the name set off my hinky meter. I did a quick search, and found that the service is a business that is owned by the Scientology organization. I realize that they call themselves a “church”, but I prefer not to use that designate based on the definition of that word.
So, instead of getting paid to write about them, I’m going to post a link to Operation Clambake, a site that has tons of information about the workings of Scientology.
I agree with Operation Clambake and I’m really irritated that Scientology wouldn’t be upfront with the bloggers and tell them who they are really blogging about.
Oh well, lesson learned, and thank you Lord for search engines.
