I just read that Menu Foods is recalling some of their pet food because it may cause death or kidney failure. There have been approximately ten deaths, and dogs as well as cats could be affected. The food was/is sold in stores such as Kroger Company, Safeway Inc., Wal-Mart Stores Inc., PetSmart and others. It doesn’t say whether or not the food is store label, private label or their own label. Pet owners should definitely check their pets food, and consult their vet as needed.

I heard snippets on the news too, and was looking for the complete list. I tried to switch my puppy to the Eukanuba canned food a couple of weeks go, and he didn’t like it at all…maybe he sensed it was contaminated! I’d be heartbroken if I were one of the people that lost a pet.
