Hurt arm

I am okay but my arm isn’t doing too good. Typing with one hand takes so long.

zzzzzzzzz.

MP takes great dictation.

I am hoping to be two-armed on Monday.

Thanks for all the nice words about Dash, she is doing GREAT, but may be renamed: Cy

Can you guess why?

Not much accomplished today

If you’ve been following along, you know that my daughter found two very small kittens that I nicknamed “Dot” and “Dash”. Sadly, Dot passed away and we’ve been taking care of Dash. He? is still smaller than a mouse and needs constant feeding/holding. So, that’s what we’ve been doing all night and most of the day today. He seems to be thriving and we’re very optimistic that he’ll do alright.

It’s funny, but I don’t remember my kids being this much work when they were babies. Then again, I was sooo much younger back then.

Weekend Leftover: If it was warmer, then it wouldn’t be so cold

This year, it has been an unseasonably cool spring. I’m not complaining, but it’s usually much warmer by now. I’m talking high 80s and 90s by this time of year. But according to wunderground, our high temperature today was 72F.

However, some of the writers at AZCentral have actually tried to imply that our local temperatures have recently been severely impacted by global warming. One of them actually admitted that its much cooler than usual, but if it wasn’t for the heat island and global warming, then Arizona would be even much cooler.

Huh???

I admit that I haven’t spent a lot of time researching global warming and its causes. Off the top of my head, I tend to think that it’s just something that’s cyclical and I take a dim view of all the political correctness about the subject. As a matter of fact, I’m pretty disgusted that the Weather Channel has called for decertification of meteorologists who are skeptical of global warming. I mean, aren’t they all supposed to be scientists? Isn’t the core of science to keep an open mind and carefully examine all evidence and points of view? I’m sorry, but there are too many dissenting opinions on both sides for anyone to state as an empirical fact that global warming is caused by humans.

Weekend Leftover: Top 50 places in Arizona

This was posted in the Arizona Republic about a week or so, maybe even two weeks ago. I can’t remember right now, lol. I just remember that I was going to post some of the more unique places here, and maybe even a little known scenic spot or two. But for some reason, I never got around to it. If you do decide to visit, try not to hit the trendy and cliched touristy spots. If you do just a bit of research before you travel, you can find out for yourself just how glorious Arizona can be.

Weekend Leftover: Sayet Right

I hadn’t heard of Evan Sayet until I stumbled across his video at YouTube. I haven’t looked closely at everything he stands for, but so far, I totally agree with everything he says. If you want to know more about me, then you can watch his video. Among other things, he says that liberals are “diametrically opposed to everything good, right and successful.”

He also states that Jimmy Carter’s recent book is tantamount to blood libel.

I have to admit that I was confounded by many liberals and their statements until I read/heard his rather elucidating opinions. This isn’t a direct quote, but it’s pretty close to what he says:

Liberals look at man’s history and see that wars, poverty haven’t been eliminated by prior efforts. They think that the real cause of war and poverty can only be found in the attempt to be right. Their utopia can be achieved if no one is wrong and everyone is right. If no one ever thought they were right, there would be no disagreements.

Why does Arizona water taste so bad?

I know that there have been recent stories in the news about Phoenix and its water quality. I haven’t been to Phoenix for awhile, but to me, their water is stinky and gross. Come to think of it, the taste of the water in the Valley seems to be hit or miss. For example, I don’t like the tap water in some East Valley cities, but others aren’t too bad. And yes, if you don’t live in Arizona, a lot of Arizonans do discuss water quality because the taste differences are immense to many people.

WOW! Did you know that the internet is open on weekends?

Well, of course, we all know that, but I try to avoid blogging or doing a lot online on the weekends. But I’m going to do a bit of monetizing today, and I’m also going to introduce a new category: Weekend Leftovers

Here’s the concept of the category:

You’ve worked hard at your job all week, it’s Saturday, so you don’t feel like cooking dinner. You decide to just reach into the fridge, and you make a meal of whatever you find. It’s nutritious, it’s tasty, but it may not be the full dinner that everyone was hoping for.

Well, that’s what my Weekend Leftovers category will be. It may be stuff that I didn’t get around to posting during the week, or it may be something quick and easy that I found. Whatever it will be, I hope it won’t be too objectionable to everyone.

:-)
