I haven’t watched Survivor for awhile

I’m watching it right now and I don’t remember any of these people. Darn, I wish I would’ve paid more attention earlier in the season. They’re all standing on little footholds and trying to keep from touching the ground. I’m embarrassed to admit it, but I’d probably last about two minutes at that challenge.

I’m rooting for the guy wtih the hat. Maybe it’s my age, but I like to watch the older contestants beat the young whipper-snappers.

And the guy with the hat just won individual immunity! Wooo!

My son taught me a new phrase

My son called me, he’s on his way home and wanted to know if I needed anything from the store. He told me he was at Walmart, watching the security team trying to stop a panhandler. He said that the security people there were senior citizens, and besides, the beggar turned out to be quite healthy and was probably a hobo ninja.

I just did a google search, and there really is a Hobo Ninja. I haven’t looked at the site to see if it’s suitable for all ages, I’m just surprised that someone thought this up.

Solar Cooking

Awhile ago, I found directions for making your own solar cooker that basically works as an outdoor slow cooker. It looks easy to make, I just haven’t gotten around to it.

I found a company that sells something they call a solar barbecue. I’m not too concerned about the “carbon footprint” that one site says I create when I cook. I just figure that since there’s so much sun in AZ, this could be a great way to cook without having to buy fuel for my barbeque grill.

The problem is, I keep finding sites that review the item but I can’t find the original site that sells the item. From what I could tell, it sells for between 100-200 dollars. Which would be more economical than having to replace stuff when MP starts one of her BBQ fires.

FOUR Drownings in three days

I can not believe the number of children in the metro Phoenix area that have died in the past few days. Do people/parents not realize that they need to keep eye to eye contact with their little ones at all times? These are senseless and needless tragic deaths.

Please please please ALWAYS watch your kids around water, whether its a swimming pool, bath tub or a bucket of water.

I remember when I first got on line and how I bookmarked a lot of my favorite pages. Come to think of it, I probably bookmarked half the sites I looked at. They were interesting and relevant to my hobbies and personal interests at the time. However, I didn’t do a good job of selecting and storing my bookmarks, so I ended up with a ton of useless bookmarks.
At the time, I also would frequently bring work home with me and jump on my computer to do a selected task. I frequently found sites that were very helpful to my job, but it usually didn’t do me much good to bookmark them on my home computer. I usually ended up emailing myself the link to my work address, but that usually ended up to be a royal pain in the neck.

I am really excited about a free service named BookmarkAll.com. It’s a bookmark manager that allows the user to access their bookmarks from any computer in the world. This means that you no longer have to be logged into your personal computer to retrieve your personal bookmarks and you’ll be able to use your bookmarks no matter your location.

BookmarkAll also allows you to manage your RSS feeds. If you’ve subscribed to a site’s RSS feeds, they allow you to create unlimited RSS topics as well as unlimited RSS feeds for each topc. They also have recommendations for optimizing your RSS loading time. BookmarkAll also allows you to choose to set your privacy on your feeds by choosing either Public or Private. From now on, you don’t have to keep track of your bookmarks or your RSS feeds, thanks to BookmarkAll.

Join me in mocking my daughter

I think she’s been on the computer too long today, or she’s too focused on what she’s doing. Her cell phone was sitting on her desk while she’s typing away.
It started to ring, but she wanted to finish writing her thought so she didn’t grab it on the first ring.
After the third ring, she decided to answer.
However, she was distracted by reading her monitor and she tried to answer her mouse instead.
