I have to admit that when it comes to some technological marvels that I am behind the times. Oh sure, I keep my computer stuff up to date with the latest folderols, but when it comes to television, I had to ask my daughter to make sure that our latest tv is hdtv. It is and I’m glad because it does get much better pictures. Then again, I may be giving away my age, but I can almost remember when color tv was announced and everyone thought it was a big deal.
So, flash forward a decade or two, and we’ve gone from the typical sitcoms to being able to watch videos online. As a matter of fact, I am a fan of reality shows and I try to watch every episode of Survivor. Of course there are gizmos out there that make watching live tv obsolete and I think an AppleTV just may be one of them. I am not sure exactly what an AppleTV is, but I called my son and he assured me that I would want one, lol. He told me that it would run circles around my little portable dvd player. He also told me that it had stunning clarity and I would be amazed it the pictures that I could download from the internet. Then he started doing some of that technical talk that he’s so good at, like mentioning HDMI, ports and interfaces and my eyes started to glaze over like they tend to do when things get too technical.

How excited are you? At first I was only excited because I had won something but I download shows a lot since I’m usually working so now I’m getting excited about being able to watch a lot of that on the tv.

Jade, congrats to you too, and I think you did a much better job on this opp than I did! At first, I was just excited about winning something, just like you said, but then I talked to my son, and he really wants one, so now it looks like we’re going to have one. Now that I think about it, he was talking about them last week, so this opp came along at a perfect time.
I was wondering too about when we’d get it? Do we have to wait the traditional 30 days?
I can’t wait to find out.

Yeah, last month I got one of the $100 PPP opps, and boy was that exciting. I don’t know if it’s luck, or just an ability to ignore the pain of carpal tunnel.
