Internet Explorer? ARRRRGHHH!!!

Right now, I feel just like Veruca Salt, the greedy girl in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. For some reason, I can’t get Firefox to open, so I’m feeling out of sorts, trying to use IE.

I want to spell check,
I want to open tabs,
I want my search engines,

and I want them NOW!
;-)

Oh well, Son will be home in a bit and he’ll be able to figure out why my FF isn’t working. In the meantime, I’ll sit here and kick myself for not making better uses of online bookmarking sites. My daughter tried to suggest them to me, but did I listen? Nooooooo

Darn, even WordPress looks different. With FF, if I want to add a link to my post, I just highlight the text and click on the little link box at the top. But its not there now, and the entire area looks rather bleak and blank. Where in the world did everything go?

I was going to post the link to the Wiki article about Veruca Salt, but I guess you’ll have to fend for yourself and do your own research while I’m trapped in this torture chamber they call Internet Explorer.

Do you have a firewall like zone alarm?
If so, open it and go to program controls, make sure that Mozilla FF is checked off as safe to access the net.
This happens every time I update my FF. My firewall blocks it because it’s technically a “new” program again.

Heya Kat, nice to see ya!

Thanks for the advice. I checked my firewall and that doesn’t seem to be the issue. Right now, I can’t even get FF to open at all. I choose the “restore session” option, but it never appears. The odd thing is that it was working fine this morning and no one else has used this computer today.
My son should be home in a few minutes, so I’m hoping I’ll be a happy camper soon. In the meantime, I am flabbergasted by all the ads I’m seeing. Wow, netflix on every page. I can’t wait to get back on FF and block them all!
Thanks again for your help. :-)
