Remember Jimmy Stewart in, “Its a Wonderful Life”, where he said he’s going to shake off the dust from the sleepy little town and go out and see the world? Lately, I’ve felt much the same way and would love to go visit some faraway exotic locale. For example, I recently saw a travel show about visiting Spain. I wonder what it would be like to wake up to the sunrise in Barcelona?
I speak a bit of Spanish, would it be enough to help me get around cities like Madrid, or would I need to work on my phrasing a bit? I know that the Spanish in Arizona is a bit different than the Spanish in Spain. I could be wrong, but I believe in Spain, its a bit more formal that what’s here locally. From what I’ve read, in Spain, they speak Castellano or ‘Castilian’, while ‘Espanol’ is preferred in North America.
One way I can start to brush up on my Spanish is to visit Hotels Espanol and read up on the names of the cities and towns in Spain. The site is mostly in Spanish, although they do have the option of using other languages, including English. I could look at the names of various locales, then cross reference them via an online search, so I could find the perfect destination. From what I could tell, the site has a wide variety of accommodations for every budget, so I just need to figure out where to go, pack my bags, and book a room through their site.
