I have some strange dreams, but last night, I dreamed I was writing a blog post. To the best of my recollection, this is exactly what I dreamed I wrote:

“I usually sleep on my left side, and Karen the kitten has decided that sleeping on my left hip/backside is very comfortable. She has no worries, because there’s plenty of room. Come to think of it, there’s room for her, another cat, and BBD, my Rhodesian Ridgeback dog. Okay, I have to confess that due to lack of exercise during the holidays, there’s probably room on my hip for all of them as well as a small philharmonic orchestra.”

You know, I am probably much funnier in my dreams than when I’m awake. I’m also thinner, younger and fluent in Spanish in my dreams, although I can barely speak it when I’m awake. (Then again, maybe I’m only dreaming that I’m fluent and the Spanish I speak in my dreams actually translates to “My cheese belongs to the spider”, or something like that.) Do you transform yourself in your sleep, or are you the same whether awake or asleep?

A few months ago, I posted a few links to legitimate work at home programs. I know a lot of people think they can’t work at home if they have young children around, but check these places and find out how flexible they are. I have a relative with a young baby that is doing fairly well with one of these companies. I’m not taking pot-shots or trying to be pessimistic, but if you’re a stay at home parent that needs to make money, then you need to start thinking of worst-case scenarios in case the pay to blog market continues to drop. I am a firm believer in working hard, planning for the worst and hoping for the best. Take a look at these old posts of mine, and also, search ClarkHoward.com for other legitimate ways to make money at home.

I swear half my brain cells disappear when the clouds show up. I like rain, I enjoy the changing weather, but I feel so lethargic when it rains. I just checked wunderground.com and it says the area has a

Flash Flood Watch in effect until 11 am MST this morning…
Wind Advisory in effect from 10 am this morning to 5 PM MST this afternoon.

I’m also feeling crabby today. I usually manage to stay on an even keel, but this morning I got an email that put me in a bad mood. A longtime friend of mine sent me a message that was actually quite rude. So now, I have to decide what to do about his email. Do I ignore the rudeness and chalk it up to a bad day? Do I challenge him and tell him I find his conduct unacceptable? I’ve known him for eons, this is the first time I have ever seen him do anything like this. Did he have a bad day while shopping at the mall?

I don’t have a clue right now as to how to handle this, so maybe Karen and I will just lie down and listen to the rain fall and the wind blow. One thing’s for sure, Karen doesn’t seem to mind the weather, it only makes her even more cuddly, as if such a thing were even possible.
