Did your blogging for pay plummet?

A few months ago, I posted a few links to legitimate work at home programs. I know a lot of people think they can’t work at home if they have young children around, but check these places and find out how flexible they are. I have a relative with a young baby that is doing fairly well with one of these companies. I’m not taking pot-shots or trying to be pessimistic, but if you’re a stay at home parent that needs to make money, then you need to start thinking of worst-case scenarios in case the pay to blog market continues to drop. I am a firm believer in working hard, planning for the worst and hoping for the best. Take a look at these old posts of mine, and also, search ClarkHoward.com for other legitimate ways to make money at home.

This ties in with a post I’m working on right at this moment. For me the pay for blogging field is only one aspect of my overall revenue stream. The Real Rank to replace Google PR on PPP has yet to materialize. My real rank is 71 and the opportunities I’m seeing are $12. Hell, I make more than twice that at LinkWorth for less wording.

Diversification is the name of the game in 2008.

Robert, thanks for stopping by and commenting. I think you’re one of the better writers/bloggers anywhere, and you have such a rare gift with words. (I just read your post about the toothbrush and nearly died laughing, and throughout your blog way you talk about Val is heartwarming and inspiring.)
I think one of the reasons that PPP is offering such low dollar opps to writers like you is that they never segmented for quality. Posties asked for such segmentation, begged for it, demanded it, all to no avail. If Ted Murphy had offered quality posts to advertisers from the beginning, then most advertisers wouldn’t even care about PR.
I could say a lot more about this, but I’m smack dab in the middle of my own personal diversification efforts *cough topsecretwebsite cough*. I can’t wait to see the post you’re writing on this subject, and thanks again for stopping by.
(I can’t even think of a decent close because I am dying from laughing after reading http://www.macewan.org/2007/11/26/how-not-to-fuse-plastic-bags/ )
