To Host Gator: I am switching hosting companies asap. I had bragged to others, even encouraged people to sign up with you because of your fantastic uptime. However, your company seems to be totally devoid of any sort of customer service. Here’s why I’m leaving your company:
Apparently, you had a security flaw and had to change everyone’s passwords. How do I know that your fix is any better than what you had before?
When switching everyone’s passwords, you neglected to email all your customers. I am assuming you sent it out with the bill, but customers like me that pay in advance apparently didn’t get the email/bill.
When I went to your site early this morning and initiated a customer chat session, the guy acted like this is a brand new problem, never heard of it and I had to jump through all sorts of hoops to get the password situation sorted out. I guess “Chuck” didn’t think that I’d stop by the HostGator forum and find out that my situation was far from being uncommon, and that a whole bunch of customers were/are as displeased as I am. I probably would have stayed with your company if “Chuck” would have owned up to the situation, apologized and helped me get on my way as soon as possible.
Now, instead of being a happy customer, I am spending the rest of today trying to find a reliable provider.
See ya later, Host Gator!
