So I’ll report on the big news hitting the metro Phoenix area:

Dunkin’ Donuts is reopening NINE stores, from Scottsdale to Glendale.  I thought that they had been driven out of town by Krispy Kreme, but it looks like there’s only one of those in the state, and that’s in Mesa. Personally, if I head to Mesa for fried doughy goodness, I’d rather grab some Arizona Native Frybread. It is one of the best foods on the planet! How in the world can anyone resist a Green Chili Meat Taco: “Native American Frybread smothered with shredded beef and green chili, topped with your lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, and red onions.” After you finish your taco, you can have Indian dessert frybread. Look at this picture, doesn’t it make a glazed donut look puny in comparison:
