Want to see what the Statue of Liberty sees?

I know that some people think that webcams are so last century, but for those that still enjoy them, Lady Liberty now has webcams on her torch that will let viewers gaze out at New York Harbor. Personally, I think it’s kind of cool that five “torch cams” are going to let people see a view that has been unavailable to the public since 1916. On Friday, October 28, they’ll be turned on and ready for everyone. You can find them here:
Be Smart, Send a Postcard

We live in an age of instant communication. Texting, sending emails and using cell phones allow people to continually exchange information. I can call my sister, text my daughter, and email my friend in Amarillo all while watching a rerun of “Andy Griffith” on Netflix. As a society, we are all bombarded with information, most of which seems to only be memorable until the next bit of information comes along. I think most business owners would prefer that their message stands out, but each sales email I receive is usually like the other, with nothing remarkable that makes them stand out.
I was recently offered the opportunity to do a paid review of PostcardPrinting.com. I accepted because I feel that companies that use postcard printing are using a superior method of getting their message to stand out. If you own a business, you know how fierce the competition is for every consumer dollar. You also know that most consumers don’t pay a lot of attention to most sales flyers, whether emailed or sent by regular mail. However, there is a type of mail that is very effective in grabbing a potential customer’s attention. Postcards grab the reader’s attention and gets them interested in the postcard’s message. Postcards are cost effective too. Can you imagine how much it would cost a company to call their customer base? Or worse yet, how much gas would it take for a business owner to drive to each of his customers in order to spread his message? PostcardPrinting.com’s services are affordable in contrast. Their prices start at 500 postcards for $32.98.
PostcardPrinting.com has a great selection too. You can choose the size of your postcard from 4×6, 5.5×8.5 or 6×11. You can choose gorgeous card templates in categories ranging from fashion, fitness, golf, restaurant, travel, and holidays. Or you can upload your own design and they will put it on a postcard for you. They also offer extras such as double sided postcards and mailing services.
Every business owner owes it to the success of their company to look into PostcardPrinting.com as a way to develop and maintain their customer base. Think about it, when was the last time you did NOT read a postcard?

Makes me wish that Phoenix Park was in Phoenix instead of Dublin:
Stuff I did in September

September was a pretty normal for me, aside from the three major illnesses and being hospitalized. Other than that, I’d say it was just like any other month.
Oh wait, I just remembered that interesting happened. I discovered that many of the movies on Amazon Prime aren’t as bad as I had heard. Of course, Amazon movies don’t hold a candle to NetFlix, but NetFlix can’t hold a candle to my Kindle.
Now that I’ve almost completed college

One more semester to go and I’ll have a degree! I first decided to get a degree in computer technology because I got tired of my kids knowing more about computers than I did. Well, they still know more than I do, but at least I’ve caught up a bit. But now that I’m getting close to graduating, I am actually thinking of switching majors. Am I insane or what? (Don’t answer that.)
I am thinking about switching to either marketing or art history. I’ve always had a passion for art history, and yet marketing has always fascinated me because it digs into the human mind. Maybe I’ll go for a double major. If I do, after I graduate, I will have the credentials necessary to successfully sell those sofa-sized mass produced oil paintings that are always peddled on late night commercials.
