Now that I’ve almost completed college

One more semester to go and I’ll have a degree! I first decided to get a degree in computer technology because I got tired of my kids knowing more about computers than I did. Well, they still know more than I do, but at least I’ve caught up a bit. But now that I’m getting close to graduating, I am actually thinking of switching majors. Am I insane or what? (Don’t answer that.)
I am thinking about switching to either marketing or art history. I’ve always had a passion for art history, and yet marketing has always fascinated me because it digs into the human mind. Maybe I’ll go for a double major. If I do, after I graduate, I will have the credentials necessary to successfully sell those sofa-sized mass produced oil paintings that are always peddled on late night commercials.

I was going to write about my horrible haircut, even to the point of whining piteously. However, I just noticed that I have some old posts that definitely need to be cleaned out. I mean, one’s so old, it’s topic is “Mitt Romney for President?”. I don’t think I need to hang onto that one, but I do need to some spring cleaning on my blog if I plan on blogging semi-regularly.

So instead of going into (too much) detail about my hair, I am going to resolve to clean out five of the old posts tonight, either post them or delete them. If I do five old posts a day, that should take me about 25 days.

Do you think my hair will have grown out by then?

A woman in Pennsylvania received a smelly surprise when the neighbor’s cat she thought she was petting turned out to be a skunk! Not only did she get sprayed, but the skunk ran into her home and police officer were there for hours, trying to remove it. There’s no word on the condition of either the woman or the skunk, but I imagine both of them were quite surprised. Between you and me, I thought that things like this only happened in Warner Brothers cartoons. I mean, even if she overlooked the facial differences, didn’t she notice other dissimilarities? If the fluffiness of the tail wasn’t a good clue, how about the big white stripe? How could someone not know the difference between a cat and a polecat? Sacrebleu!

Shocking News about an emu

In Florida, some deputy sheriffs were forced to use a Taser to subdue Plop-Plop , an emu that became unruly and escaped from a farm. The bird suffered no long lasting effects from the weapon, but it was temporarily immobilized from the stun gun.

I guess one could say that Plop-Plop went fizz-fizz.

I’ve got an ear infection, so rather than trying to come up with something witty, I thought I’d rely on a bit of gallinaceous humor:

A duck walks into a drug store, goes up to the clerk and says, “I have a chapped beak, can you help me?”

The clerk says, “Why of course, here’s some Hot Cocoa Flavor Moose Smooch Lip Balm. How would you like to take care of this?”

The duck replies, “Can you just put it on my bill?”

I don’t know what’s going to happen every Wednesday, but I sure feel wacky today! As a matter of fact, I feel so wacky that I’m going to try my hand at predicting the future. I don’t believe in astrology, but this post might just describe someone perfectly.
