What are they looking at?

My daughter finds the coolest things online. She found this great site, CrazyEgg.com, that allows you to track your visitors actions on your site. If you’re concerned about building traffic to your blog, and if you want to try to figure out what your visitors do on your blog, then give CrazyEgg a try. They have a limited use free version, which would probably be fine for most bloggers. You can track four pages for free. I’d suggest that you start with your home page, and then follow the heat maps to see which other pages you should track. I’m not doing a good job of describing it, just go visit their site and see all the cool stuff they offer.
On their site, their description says they are for those that:
- Want more ad revenue
- Care what visitors do
- Need to make improvements
- Like things that are easy
On a personal note, I feel much freer to express my opinions, now that I am no longer blogging for bucks. I have a ton of reasons as to why I stopped writing for money, and I don’t have the time (once again) to go into it all. Maybe after Christmas, I’ll write a lengthy tell-all.. or better yet, I’ll record it all and put it on YouTube! ROFLOL!
Bottom line is, I am working on a better way to make money online. However, even if I was in dire financial straits, I couldn’t envision myself ever doing any more payment per post work again. I’ll share my reasons one of these days, when I’m not typing ninety miles an hour. Right now, I just wanted to tell everyone to give CrazyEgg a try.
Mark Lowry offers beauty hints

If you’re a fan of Mark Lowry, you know that he’s been vlogging and posting his videos at YouTube on a regular basis. Right now, he’s on the “Be The Miracle” tour with LordSong and Stan Whitmire, touring mostly in the eastern part of the U.S. through November. I have to admit that I didn’t know who he was until recently stumbling across one of his performances on YouTube. I’m embarrassed to admit that until I saw the video, I thought “Mary, Did You Know?” was written by Kenny Rogers. *blush blush*
Not only is Mark Lowry a talented singer, composer and performer, he also has some great beauty hints, aimed primarily at men his age. There’s other great stuff on the video too, but guys should definitely pay close attention to the first segment.

I’m burning the late night oil, working on my e-commerce stuff. I decided to take a break from that for a few minutes and go blog hopping. You see, there’s an event coming up on Friday, the details of which presently escape me, but basically everyone picks out five bloggers and their blogs and writes about them. The bloggers are supposed to be out of your normal circle of activity.
So I went looking a bit and found nothing I’d care to see again. Maybe I’m being too picky, but then again, I’m using some pretty good blogs to set my standards. Blogs like Dodgeblogium, that’s written in an engaging style that keeps me informed and helps me to see what’s happening in the world. Or Owen and his wife Camille. She writes great stuff, whether she’s talking about their adorable son, Arthur (who has his very own blog), or posting a hilarious limerick about her brother. Owen has several blogs, each one unique, interesting to read and informative .
There are other great blogs I visit regularly, and I hope I don’t hurt anyone’s feelings by not mentioning them here. Don’t worry, I plan on mentioning every great blog I like, at one point or another. But the point I’m trying to make right now is that I feel like a modern Diogenes, trying to find a decent, honest blog or two. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think my blog is back up to where it should be, so maybe I’m just bumping into other bloggers that are going through life issues like I am.
Oh well, if it looking at other bloggers gets to be too much, I can always go watch clips from WKRP on YouTube.

I’d like to take advantage of my fifteen minutes of blogging fame and use it in a way that’ll benefit both you and me. I have to confess that although I’ve been working on improving my writing, I feel that I’ve neglected visiting other blogs and making new blogging buddies.
If you could leave a little comment about your blog, I’d really appreciate it and I could definitely build a list of places to go and people to meet online.
Heck, even if you’ve been here before, go ahead and mention your blog too, so I can compile a detailed list of my favorite blogs. Thanks, and I can’t wait to head out on my grand tour of the Blogosphere.
Joyce’s Blog, Very Nice

I probably should’ve posted this hours ago, because I’m very sleepy now and may not do this nice blog justice. I really enjoy the pictures Joyce posts of the food she cooks, and they’re so close and detailed that I feel like I’m standing next to her while she’s cooking. I have never cooked or even eaten squid, although it is sold in some of my local stores. She does a very good job of showing how to prepare it.
I really like the overall feeling to this blog. She seems like a very nice person that knows how to write interesting blog posts. I plan on visiting her blog again so see what she cooks next.

Especially when I find it in unexpected places. Lucia uses her rapier wit to deal with an error-laden site and puts its creator rightfully in his place. As a matter of fact, her post had me laughing so hard that I could barely click on the link to see what she’s talking about. Sadly, I found out that she’s absolutely correct because they’re woefully lacking a custom result page for Arizona. Oh well, maybe the site owner is hoping to make up for their lack of accuracy with their cute little favicon.
Great post, Lucia, keep up the good work!
Btw, she’s also a whiz at making WordPress plugins, so make sure to check those out too.
Cancel the Yard Sale, I found Listasaurus.com!

I really enjoy accumulating acquiring unique junk collectibles but I have to face that fact that it is possible to have too much of a good thing. I’ve come to the realization that it’s time to sell off some of my “discoveries”, but when its 103° in the Phoenix area, it is just too hot to have a yard sale.
I found a site that allows its visitors to buy and sell using video classifieds . At Listasaurus, buyers don’t have to worry about the condition of their intended purchase because you can see a video of the item before you buy it. Sellers don’t have to spend hours writing a perfect description, they just need to grab their video camera and start taping. You can make a bit of extra money too because their site also says that they’ll pay you just for listing ads of items for sale.
I think the entire concept is a great idea. Not only can I sell what I don’t want, I can use their search to find more stuff quickly and easily. They even have a section for free stuff, and I just saw the cutest toy koala bear that someone is giving away. But before I start picking out new stuff, I have to decide what I’m going to sell first. By doing video classifieds, I don’t think I’ll have to wait long before I can get rid of some of my old stuff so I can make room for the great finds I’m seeing on Listasaurus.com.
