How NOT to make a Stop Sign

I had embedded this video, but it made my blog theme go all wacky, so click here to watch it.

An Oldie but a Goodie

Even though this song is before my time, I still think its a great song that doesn’t get a lot of appreciation. Come to think of it, I didn’t even know who recorded it till I stumbled across it on Youtube. I think this song has a timeless quality about it and I wish I knew more about the circumstances behind its creation:

This song applies perfectly today

I found this older guy singing on YouTube today, and it sums up everything for me:

Unfortunately, the video cuts off before the ending. Here’s another video, where his sons pay tribute to their father with the song:

Ineptitude as Art

My son found this video, and I think it’s going to end up at the top of my favorites list. I wish I knew where it came from originally, but I didn’t see any identifying information. So I guess I’ll just enjoy it without being able to figure out if they made any other videos. (I just wish I knew the guy’s name because he is hilarious. Oh well. )

Have you heard of Lake Peigneur?

Until November 21, 1980, it was just a typical run of the mill freshwater lake enjoyed by the local fisherman. However, an unusual man made disaster changed it in a way that no one foresaw. It’s one of the most bizarre stories around, and I was really amazed at how someone’s mistake greatly impacted the environment and commerce of an entire community. If you’re not familiar with the saga, or if you want a refresher, check out this video:
